Julie Arriola

Hi, I’m Julie; that’s me in the photo doing what I love to do—manual therapy. My website is currently under construction. Eventually, there will be more photos, but for now, I wanted to offer up a quick introduction, just a lil quip about who I am and what I’m about.

In 2014, after a transformative massage experience, I began my journey to becoming a licensed massage therapists. Over the past twelve years, I have discovered  my passion is pain relief—I want to help you feel better. I believe that healing comes through helping you connect to the source of your discomfort. That source, the place we start, is the nervous system. I specialize in Neural and Visceral Manipulation, techniques I’ve learned through Barral Institute. Manipulation might sound intimidating, but in reality, visceral and neural manipulation is gentle and focused myofascial release. When coupled with the LTAP, these techniques guide me in calming down the nervous system allowing your body to relax, so you experience relief.

When I am not working with my clients, you’ll find me bouldering, practicing Tai Chi, or reading fantasy or Sci-Fi. I am a life long learner. Currently, I am in mentorship with Anna Hartman (movementREV.com); I serve as a teaching assistant in her LTAP level 1 course with the goal of facilitating these courses on my own under Anna’s tutelage. Outside of learning the LTAP, I study the nervous and visceral systems through the Barral Institute. I have practiced Tai Chi for over two decades through White Dragon Martial Arts School and currently hold the rank of senior black fringe . Massage, movement, and martial arts are a way of life—I have used these practices to resolve urinary incontinence, help me heal through two major surgeries—ACL reconstruction and hysterectomy, and support me through periods of grief and keep me happily married, LOL. I am also a cat mom to Boo Radley and Baby, and love a well-pulled espresso shot.

That’s a lil about me. I look forward to learning more about you.
